At about 1:30 a.m., firefighters responded to the Charlroy Motel at 1601 North Ocean Ave.
Firefighters found heavy smoke near the rear of the motel and quickly brought the blaze under control.
Crews cut a hole in the roof to vent the motel and searched the building, according to initial reports.
No one was hurt.
The cause of the fire is under investigation
